Everyday people on one day -- Thanksgiving

How does your family celebrate Thanksgiving?

Do you share what you're most thankful for?

Do you decorate (or attempt to decorate) for Christmas?

Or, maybe you just reveal Christmas presents early?

Are you traditional?

Or, are you slightly less traditional?

Whatever you did to celebrate, I hope it was wonderful.

My family is less than traditional for Thanksgiving. My dad (the fireman) usually works on Thanksgiving, so we spend the day at the station. If he gets off, we usually trek to Michigan to visit my mom's side of the family. This year was a little different- I went to Panama City Beach with Dave and his parents. We had Thanksgiving "dinner" buffet style at a local restaurant.

We had a lot of our friends out of town this holiday, but we plan on starting our own tradition of doing a pot luck dinner with our crowd of friends. And I, personally, think it's important to go around the table and talk about what you're thankful for. It's easy to take things in life for granted, sometimes you just need a gentle reminder of how lucky you truly are.

Happy Thanksgiving! (oh yeah, and GO DAWGS!)
